Traditionally the term polyglot means someone that is capable of speaking several languages, usually 3, 4 or more at a reasonably decent pace (some might say at least the B2 level in the CEFR). There have been records of extremely smart people that are capable of learning languages very fast e.g. Willian James Sidis. Nowadays this term is mostly used by egoists and capitalists to present themselves as superior. Beware if you see someone unironically call themselves that.
To be classified as an intellectual achievement we have to consider the environment where you have been raised, since as we all know language learning in an early stage is extremely easy. If you were born and raised e.g. in Luxembourg, where almost everyone speaks luxembourgish, german and french and they are used everyday, not even mention english online, then that's a very different situation compared to someone that has been born and raised in e.g. Brazil. The first case didn't require that much effort to learn 3 languages. Another thing is that language ability can fluctuate depending on where you live currently, if you're exposed to the language, etc. This is especially common in Europe.
It seems like women are at the same capability of language learning as men in average. Even black women can be pretty good, see Africa for example where some speak an indigenous language, french and english. Or in the north with arabic and french. Compare this with the americas (or the continent america) where almost everyone just speaks 1 language and it's either spanish, english or portuguese.
